Walmart approves 8 more parcel carriers for seller-fulfilled shipping

Walmart added 8 carriers to its approved seller-fulfilled shipping list on Oct. 13, 2026, including DoorDash, UniUni, SpeedX, Exelot, SwiftX, TForce Final Mile, Gofo, and OSM Worldwide. Sellers using non-approved carriers risk order suppression, suspension, or termination.
Walmart is systematically reducing seller dependence on the FedEx/UPS duopoly, mirroring Amazon's multi-carrier strategy — sellers who optimize carrier mix by zone will compress shipping costs as competition for last-mile volume intensifies.
Alternative carriers often offer lower rates in specific zones — sellers shipping regionally dense markets (e.g., West Coast via UniUni, urban via DoorDash) can cut last-mile costs without sacrificing Walmart compliance. Run a shipping zone analysis against your current carrier rates before defaulting to FedEx/UPS.

Please let us know if you have feedback. Sellers on Walmart's online marketplace are now allowed to use eight additional parcel carriers for orders they fulfill themselves, the retail giant announced Oct. 13.
Walmart Marketplace's approved carrier list for seller-fulfilled orders now includes UniUni, SpeedX, Exelot, SwiftX, TForce Final Mile, Gofo, OSM Worldwide and DoorDash, according to the announcement. Metropolitan Warehouse & Delivery is available for freight shipments, as well.
The additions give Walmart sellers a wider array of parcel delivery options amid growing interest in alternative carriers outside of FedEx, UPS and the U. S. Postal Service. Lesser-known delivery providers are working to attract more shippers through competitive rates, technological advancements, new features and expanded coverage areas.
Even with the additions, Walmart's top preferred carriers for shipping marketplace orders remain the Postal Service, FedEx and UPS. But the retailer has other carriers on its approved list, including OnTrac, DHL Express, Canada Post and GLS.
"Shipping a Walmart order using a non-approved carrier is not recommended and may result in suppression, suspension or termination because the tracking information cannot be validated by Walmart," according to the website.
The expanded carrier mix comes as the retailer's e-commerce business sees fast growth, with marketplace net sales posting a more than 50% jump in Q2. E-commerce sales now represent over 23% of Walmart's mix in its U. S. business, double its level from five years ago, EVP and CFO John David Rainey said on an August earnings call.
Many sellers opt to have Walmart handle logistics for marketplace orders — including delivery — through Walmart Fulfillment Services, rather than working with parcel carriers directly. Nearly 50% of the retailer's marketplace business flowed through Walmart Fulfillment Services in Q2, up nearly 400 basis points from 2025, Rainey said.

Audit your Walmart seller-fulfilled carrier settings now — using any carrier not on the approved list risks immediate suppression. Cross-check your current carrier against Walmart's updated approved list in Seller Center under Shipping Settings.
Request rate quotes from UniUni or OSM Worldwide in the next 30 days if you ship high volumes to CA or NY — both are known for competitive regional rates that undercut UPS/FedEx Ground in dense metro zones.
