Pinterest have moved to their new offices on Great Titchfield Street, London, just off the vibrant Oxford Street and in the heart of the area of London set for pedestrianisation. And their offices are massive….

almost 30,000 square feet and every inch has been decked out in the Pinterest style we’ve come to love with the types of beautiful accessories that you probably have Pinned in collections on your boards. The future of retail isn’t online or offline, it’s both.

People increasingly discover what they want before they walk into a store, and that’s exactly what Pinterest is built for – we help close the gap between inspiration and action. That’s why we are so excited to open our new London home on Oxford Circus, one of the world’s most iconic shopping destinations.

Retail is entering a new era where AI, visual discovery, and physical stores blend seamlessly. As a ‘digital shop window,’ we help partners – from London’s top flagships found at Oxford Circus to high streets everywhere – turn inspiration into real sales.

– Greg Owens, Vice President of International at Pinterest Now it is always lovely to be invited to an office opening, but with tech companies it’s normally a somewhat staid event with a few speeches, drinks and canapes. Not so with Pinterest, they prefer to do things that you’d actually want to do in real life so they didn’t hold back.

A cook-along with Jamie Oliver, have a manicure, and how about a portrait studio where once you’ve had your photos taken you can decorate and customise to your hearts content with stickers, beads, papers and ribbons and until you’re ready to finally frame your photos to take home as a keepsake.

But first of course there were some speeches and they were mercifully short…. but that’s the key message that Caroline Orange-Northey spelled out – the most meaningful thing you can find online is a reason to go offline… and so no one had time to be on their phones, they were all too busy having fun and living life for the evening.

Following Caroline, the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, welcomed Pinterest to their new offices. This is a big deal for him as Pinterest now have some of the biggest offices in the Oxford Street area.

But Sadiq couldn’t resist revealing that he’s a fan of Jamie Oliver and was looking enviously at the tables set with ingredients for the cook-along that was about to follow.

The opening of Pinterest’s new UK office is another vote of confidence in London, which speaks to the extraordinary optimism in our booming tech sector, and I’m determined to keep this momentum going.

I’m particularly pleased to have Pinterest setting up shop in Oxford Circus, where our work to transform Oxford Street will mean they can play a part in revitalising the beating heart of Britain’s retail economy.

I’ve spoken a lot about the need to reimagine online as a gateway to a richer, happier offline life, not a replacement for it – which is just what I see Pinterest doing, so I’m delighted that London is the place they’ve chosen to do that.

I’m committed to supporting innovative businesses like Pinterest to grow and thrive as we continue building a better, more prosperous London for everyone. – The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan So, Jamie, restauranteur and celebrity chef, what’s the deal with him and Pinterest?

Well Jamie wants to get people cooking and so he’s partnered with Pinterest to release a summer recipe collection featuring 290 recipes, including 10 created exclusively for the visual search platform. And Jamie’s aim is aligned with Pinterest goal with the obvious reason to go offline being to get into the kitchen and cook!

And… if you’re interested, thankfully the cooking for the evening was Pavlova and relatively easy, so we were soon busily whipping cream, adding yoghurt, and then decorating with tons of fruit, grains, coconut flakes and finishing off with edible flower decorations.

Funniest part of the evening… Jamie repeatedly leaning over his whipped cream bowl and getting it all down the front of his shirt…. even the celebrity chefs are human when they’re having fun!

Huge congratulations to all the team at Pinterest on their new offices… if you get a chance to visit you might not be cooking up a storm, but they’re full of inspiration and a very happy place to be. In the mean time, get onto Pinterest but not for too long… you just have to find Jamie Oliver’s exclusive recipes and you’ll have found a reason to go offline!
