Primark Home Delivery coming soon!

Primark home delivery has been announced – you’ll soon be able to get your #Primani fix delivered to your door instead of shopping instore, or since just 2022 buy online and collect in store when click and collect was first launched.

Primark’s announcement was relatively short, with no details on when online shopping and Primark Home Delivery will start: Today we’ve shared our decision to introduce home delivery in Great Britain in the future. A lot has changed in online retail in recent years – from how customers want to shop and their expectations on the proposition.

At the same time, the progress we’ve made digitally, especially the success of Click & Collect, has given us confidence that the time is right. Our stores will always be at the heart of Primark, today’s news is about giving customers even more choice in how they shop with us, another exciting way we’re growing Primark.

The lure of cheap goods in store still exists, but there are other options with significantly more choice when it comes to your Friday night party dress, although Primark still gets shoppers through the door for their low cost essentials that won’t break the bank.

Another change in recent times is the ever low cost of deliveries – with Evri and InPost both offering super low delivery costs Royal Mail no longer rules the roost on pricing.

There’s likely to be a shift in delivery costs upwards at some point as todays prices are probably unsustainable, but today is the perfect opportunity to negotiate a super low cost contract.

It’s said that Primark already have dibs on a warehouse in Sheffield for Primark home deliveries, so it’s not going to be too long before shoppers can start buying online and no longer have to pop to town to collect their purchases.

As with all ecommerce, there will be the bonus of shoppers who don’t live super close to a Primark increasing their spend, but equally there will be the loss of extra in-store purchases that might happen with a click and collect order, plus for the first time Primark will have to deal with online returns which will add cost into their ultra low price model.
