Full Coverage

On Friday, the eBay Sellerbration Festival & Garden Party was held at the eBay HQ in Richmond, which centered around recognising the eBay sellers who have given up their time to host eBay Business Seller Meetups around the country and eBay seller leaders breaking new ground with features such as eBay Live.

Sellerbration is all about bringing the seller community together for an afternoon of inspiration, connection and celebration and on all three metrics it was a huge success. There were two real highlights for me – firstly eBay UK Vice President and General Manager was interviewed on stage, and then later in the afternoon took questions from the audience.

There is no doubting Eve’s enthusiasm and committment to growing eBay in the UK. As an example, one tidbit she let slip is that the fantastic eBay Activate programme was rolled out in the UK before the rest of the eBay world were even aware it was happening.

eBay Activate has been a massive success, not just for the thousands of sellers who have signed up, but also for eBay who have been checking in and are already building new AI tools based on what they’ve seen sellers using AI for.

And of course there’s eBay Live which is growing at a rapid lick – at the eBay Sellerbration Festival, Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity auctioned off some amazing eBay merch, and then Matt Giles of Preloved Tech, Sheena Chail of Luxury Designer Bag, and eBay sellers Hanli Sinclair and Richard Soons all joined the eBay Live stream to auction off even more products to support the charity generating a fantastic £1900 for the charity.

And yes there was food and drink and games to play, but the most rewarding part of the afternoon was chatting to eBay Business owners, some who I’d met before and some for the first time, and of course to chat to eBay staff who gave up their time to be with sellers during the eBay Sellerbration Festival.
