Why Walmart+ and Sam’s Club Plus memberships are being offered together “We’re giving people a reason to expect more from their memberships,” said John Furner, president and CEO at Walmart. “For $120 a year, we’re raising expectations for what a membership can deliver: more money in their pockets and more time to call their own.”

In a list of features and benefits published by Walmart, the company outlined 26 perks that it would make available, including those from the standalone Walmart+ and Sam’s Club Plus plans, as well as four that do not appear outside of the combined bundle.

Those include: Pharmacy savings Savings on optical and hearing Early shopping An annual $60 electronic gift card for T-Mobile For existing Walmart+ members under the retailer’s annual plan, the combined membership means an additional $22 annual cost.

Meanwhile, the company said the Sam’s Club Plus members could add Walmart+ to their existing subscription at no extra cost. Sam’s Club members who do not already pay for Plus will be charged $60 more per year to add both memberships to their accounts.

Benefits from the individual Walmart+ and Sam’s Club Plus memberships Both Walmart+ and Sam’s Club Plus have added new incentives in recent years, expanding their work with partners to build out benefits to compete with other paid membership programs such as Amazon Prime and Target Circle 360.

In the latest announcement, Walmart highlighted streaming access to either Peacock or Paramount+, as well as savings of 10 cents a gallon at more than 17,000 participating stations, among the combined subscription’s selling points. Sam’s Club added Weight Watchers options to its program over the summer.
