Full Coverage
Velor is a new global marketplace for authentic cultural and origin-verified goods, is now open for founding-seller applications ahead of its buyer launch on the 6th of August 2026. Built around a single premise – that every product should carry its maker’s name and country of origin.
Velor connects independent artisans, cooperatives, and small heritage brands directly with buyers worldwide, at a moment when the big marketplaces have become dominated by anonymous, factory-made goods from a handful of manufacturing hubs.
Velor is open to sellers from every one of the world’s 190 countries, with a founding seat reserved for whoever verifies and lists first from each one.
The founding-seller perk is Velor’s Pro tier, entirely free for life: unlimited listings, a 4% commission (compared to the standard £49/month plus 4%), live video shopping, and a dedicated AI account manager – normally a paid tier, given free and permanently to the first verified seller from each country.
Every other seller can also list for free on Velor’s Starter tier (10% commission, up to 10 listings), with live video shopping now available from day one on every tier, no upgrade required.
Sellers deal with the platform entirely in their own language – seller communications are currently localised into 19 languages – and buyer payments are escrow-protected, held until delivery is confirmed, with payouts via Stripe where supported and Payoneer opening on a rolling basis for the countries Stripe does not cover.
Velor is built and run almost entirely by a single founder working alongside AI agents.
William Sinclair, whose physical disability rules out manual work, built the 190-country marketplace from a laptop in a shed – AI agents carry a large share of the day-to-day operational work, from researching and drafting seller outreach to screening prospective sellers, but William personally reviews and sends every outreach message and makes every product and business decision himself.
The people who actually make things had become invisible on the big marketplaces. On Velor, the maker and the origin are the whole point. – William Sinclair, Founder, Velor
