eBay Easy & Free Returns update for eligible Parts & Accessories listings

From the 8th of June, eBay are introducing Easy and Free Returns for eligible Parts & Accessories (P&A) listings on eBay. co. uk. Sellers with eligible listings will be required to offer at least 30-day free returns for buyer change of mind returns. eBay are also introducing a 50% subsidy on return labels purchased on eBay for these eligible returns.

This update is designed to give buyers more confidence when purchasing P&A – helping to drive trust, enhance the buyer experience, and improve conversion. Non-business seller listings are excluded.

What you need to do Make sure your return policies and listings are updated to allow at least 30-days free returns for eligible listings by 8 June Existing listings that do not meet this policy requirement by 8 June will be automatically updated to include 30 day free returns New, non-compliant listings will either be automatically updated or blocked from publishing until they meet the requirements You may continue to choose how return labels are issued to buyers for returns: either an eBay return label or your own, just as before.

Keep in mind that only return labels purchased on eBay are eligible for the 50% subsidy What’s changing Parts & Accessories listings that meet all of the following eligibility criteria will need to offer 30-day free change of mind returns. This applies only if none of the exclusions listed in the “What’s excluded” section apply.

Returns because the item does not fit under eBay Assured Fit will also continue to be handled under existing eBay policies. eBay’s 50% return label subsidy To support this change, eBay will subsidise 50% of the cost of eligible return labels purchased on eBay for buyer change-of-mind returns on qualifying listings.

A few key points: The subsidy applies only when you use a return label purchased on eBay. The subsidy will be applied automatically when all eligibility conditions are met. For eligible returns, you’ll be responsible for the remaining 50% of the label cost and any surcharge costs.

For remorse returns where no eBay label is available, you will be responsible for providing the label. Seller remains responsible to cover returns made because the item is not as described (e. g. item damaged in transit) under existing policies.
