European businesses selling on Temu report hiring staff, increasing capacity and reaching customers in new international markets, according to a survey by the e-commerce platform. Half (50%) of the more than 150 respondents said they had increased capacity, hired additional staff or both since joining Temu.
One in three (34%) respondents surveyed reported expanding into new international markets. Other key findings include: Three quarters (75%) described Temu as either an important additional sales channel or their primary sales channel.
More than four in ten (43%) respondents had already been trading for over a decade before joining the platform, suggesting Temu was helping established businesses to grow their operations.
The survey findings underscore the immense potential of Europe’s small businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs to grow if there were simpler, more affordable ways to reach new customers. We look forward to continuing our work in helping sellers grow at home and abroad and create jobs within their communities.
– Temu The findings draw on responses collected in June and July 2026 from local Temu sellers in Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Poland as well as the UK. Temu has welcomed local businesses in Europe to sell on its platform since 2024. Today, the Temu Local Seller Programme is open to businesses of all sizes in more than 35 markets, including much of Europe.
Creating jobs and expanding capacity The business has been completely transformed in the last year and a half. Previously we had seven full-time warehouse staff, now we have 28. That’s 21 jobs created just operationally.
– Spencer Saunders, marketplace director, Money Cruncher Money Cruncher, which also trades online as Spot On-Line, has fulfilled more than a million orders since joining Temu at the beginning of 2025. Sales through Temu started at about £1,000 a day and now top £20,000. The Leeds warehouse dispatches over 6,000 parcels a day.
To keep up, the company reworked its stocking and operations and kept hiring. Saunders expects Money Cruncher’s growth to continue across the UK, Europe and potentially the US. The company is also looking to move to a larger site.
Most of the new jobs at Money Cruncher have gone to people in Leeds and the surrounding area, including a recent University of Leeds graduate hired to run the Temu channel. The range of roles has expanded too, with some warehouse staff moving into office work.
Temu’s approach to supporting local sellers is informed by more than 100 background discussions with industry bodies, trade associations and other stakeholders. Across these conversations, three recurring challenges emerged: complexity, cost and connection.
The survey found that 38% of respondents valued Temu’s easy-to-use seller platform, while 35% cited its fair cost structure. Connection stood out particularly strongly, with more than 65% valuing the personal, dedicated support available to sellers.
Connecting sellers with practical support Having launched in Europe in April 2023, the platform now operates in more than 90 markets, including all EU Member States, offering products across more than 700 categories.
In Northamptonshire, automotive accessories retailer Blillov found Temu’s seller tools have helped the business manage rising demand and make more informed decisions about inventory. The company moved from ad-hoc ordering to weekly replenishment for its strongest-selling products, while higher volumes helped it negotiate improved terms with suppliers.
Blillov joined Temu’s Local Seller Programme in April 2025 and within a year sales through the platform accounted for approximately 18% of Blillov’s turnover. The business brought forward its expansion plans by six months, moving from a 1,000 sq ft warehouse to a 9,000 sq ft site in Rushden.
It has now fulfilled more than 20,000 orders through Temu and plans to recruit five warehouse employees this summer. We always wanted to move to a bigger warehouse. Adding Temu as a sales channel sped that up by half a year. – Artiom Samoilov, founder and director, Blillov
