The Home Depot announced that its subsidiary, SRS Distribution Inc. , successfully completed its acquisition of Mingledorff’s LLC. Adding the distributor to SRS will mean new resources to serve the home improvement giant’s Pro customers. Terms of the deal, which Home Depot announced in March, were not disclosed.

However, Home Depot noted that it expected the transaction to be funded through a combination of cash and debt. The Home Depot Inc. ranks No. 4 in the Top 2000 Database. The Digital Commerce 360 database ranks North America’s largest online retailers by their annual ecommerce sales and more.

Additionally, Home Depot is the top-ranked retailer in the Top 2000’s Hardware & Home Improvement category.

Why Home Depot’s SRS acquired Mingledorff’s “The addition of Mingledorff’s represents another key milestone in our strategy to better serve the Pro with the most comprehensive product and service offerings,” said Ted Decker, chair, president and CEO of The Home Depot.

Decker added that Mingledorff’s was expected to strengthen SRS’s “SRS’s high-growth distribution engine.” Ultimately, he views the end result as being more inventory and expertise for Home Depot’s Pro customers.

“Adding this premier HVAC platform strengthens SRS’s high-growth distribution engine and allows us to provide a more complete range of inventory and expertise for our Pro customers.” SRS, which Home Depot acquired in 2024, will absorb the wholesale distributor’s operations. Mingledorff’s handles heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment.

Its parts and supplies flow to both residential and professional customers. Currently, Mingledorff’s has 42 locations spread across five states in the southeastern U. S.

“This expansion also enables us to drive cross selling synergies and streamlined fulfillment across our Pro ecosystem, establishing The Home Depot as the ultimate destination for professional builders, general contractors, remodelers and multifamily customers,” Decked stated.

How Mingledorff’s will operate as a part of SRS David Kesterton, president and CEO at Mingledorff’s, is expected to stay on in his current role under SRS. His senior leadership team will accompany him.

“Joining forces with SRS and The Home Depot marks an incredible new chapter in our company’s history and gives us a powerful platform to broaden our reach and impact,” said Kesterton. Kesterton called Mingledorff’s a “family-owned business with a long-standing heritage of service.”

In that context, he noted that it had “always prioritized deep partnerships and an unwavering commitment to our customers’ success.” SRS sees the deal as a means to bolster the product and fulfillment options it is able to offer.

“We are thrilled to welcome Mingledorff’s to the SRS family, establishing another vertical that allows us to serve new Pro contractors while enhancing our product offering to our existing builder, general contractor and multifamily customers more holistically than ever before,” said Dan Tinker, CEO at SRS.

“By adding a quality HVAC platform alongside our premier roofing, interior and exterior building materials, landscape and pool businesses, we can offer our customers unmatched product options and streamlined fulfillment — all from a single, trusted distribution partner.” Sign up Sign up for a complimentary subscription to Digital Commerce 360 B2B News.
